They could do the same with the Windows version. Search is not instant, a search with a lot of results is very slow in Windows, though instant search does work in iOS, but it seems to be online search, doesn't work when turning off Wifi. Importing from a limited subset of my Evernote notes (993, text only) was extremely slow. Note links only work on a web browser (at this time, I assume). I don't know, I find it limited in several respects. But Nimbus Notes feels like a better choice, has been around longer than EN I believe, and doesn't seem to be stretched too thin or worrying about who/what they are and whether they can stick around without turning over all the furniture in the house, lol. Others have posted that NN response to customer questions/problems is excellent.

The upgrades to Screencast with Pro are significant, by the way, and negate the need for any other screencast/capture service. So, yesterday I imported my EXB file into Nimbus Notes, and in process got one month of Nimbus Pro for free.

On the positive side, encryption is available, and the integration of the Nimbus Screenshot/Screencast extension and the Nimbus Clipper extension with Nimbus Notes is outstanding. It lacks some of Evernote's features, and the paid version is not cheap, but it is justifiable. With Evernote's silly identity crisis (new logo, new font, really?) ongoing while the real problems are being ignored (company's leadership is bailing, subscribership is flat, and real subscriber demanded innovation is ignored), I decided to take a closer look at Nimbus Notes. I have been using the excellent Nimbus Screenshot/Screencast tool for several years, and from time to time have saved images and video captures from that tool to their Nimbus Notes platform.
